Hi! I’m Stefanie, a Kansas City wedding florist, wife to a super cool guy, mom to two adorable preschoolers, and Chief Snuggler of the world’s fluffiest puppy. If you’re looking for real wedding inspiration, here we go:
This wedding flower design goes down in the books as one of my all-time favorites. When the couple are precious, with amazing family and friends, it’s hard not to be extremely biased. Kelsie Crockett captured this wedding so perfectly… the love, the joy, the worshipful moments…her team is incredible.
Kansas City Wedding Venue & Flowers
As a Kansas City wedding florist, I’ve seen so many venues across our sprawling metro area. The Farms at Woodend Springs, a serene wedding venue a short jaunt from Kansas City proper, played host to this classic, black and white wedding. The property is immaculate, their team is incredibly efficient, and it was so enjoyable to work with the owners (BONUS: it’s a family business!)
The couple specifically chose The Farms at Woodend Springs for it’s scenic location and the minimal, modern farmhouse design aesthetic. Harper is not a flashy bride, and keeping everything simple was easy – we played to the clean lines, white interior, and ample windows.
The vendor team was so quick, we flipped the room from ceremony to reception in 20 minutes! The weather was mild for a mid-December day, so the fire tables around the outdoor patio easily warmed the space. The guests spent time outside enjoying a freshly spun cotton candy treat from the amazing Brooklyn at Sugar & Sky and grabbing a drink from the bar. Meanwhile, the KC Bloom team added floral to 20 tables, moved the floral arches, candles, and greenery to new locations, lit candles in the windows, and put finishing touches on the head table.
I have to mention the incredible Lauren Stone of Pretty & Planned – she is a rockstar planner! She was born for this business – so level-headed, organized, and ready to solve anything. We worked together for the first time on this event, and everything went so smoothly. Lauren is approachable, kind, and hard working, and when a great planner/coordinator can make or break an event, you want someone like her in charge!

The Floral Team Difference
Hiring a professional team for your wedding adds so much value to your day. One of the most critical things your vendors provide is a LOT of troubleshooting behind the scenes.
For instance, a guest accidentally bumped one of the aisle candles and it broke. We quickly replaced the broken glassware, scraped spilled wax from the floor, reset the greenery, and removed the debris.
There wasn’t a person designated to place the flowers on the cake, so we quickly jumped in and added the floral during the ceremony.
It’s the little things behind the scenes that make a big difference!
