Art Museum Wedding Flowers in Kansas City - Ayla & Evan

Hi! I’m Stefanie, a Kansas City wedding florist serving much of the Midwest. My main gig is wife to a super cool guy, mom to two adorable kiddos, and Head Snuggler of a fluffy yellow pup. Obviously you’re here looking for real wedding inspiration, not my life story, so let's get going.

Art Museum Wedding - Missouri Wedding Florist

This wedding came together really quickly, and I was able to put together a design with Ayla and Evan just a few weeks prior to the date. We met at their beautiful venue and their love and comfort with one another was obvious right away. They were so easy to work with, and we were able to make a sustainable design (really important to Ayla) that looked artistic and minimal (to match the swanky art museum venue).

During setup, all the vendors were commenting on how lovely the couple is, and it was such a pleasure to be a part of their amazing day!  They are incredibly sweet and kind, which seems to be a running theme with my couples.  Lucky me!

The autumn color palette of terracotta, brown, and cream was lovely with the variegated, textural greenery and autumn foliage. The tables were lined with floral bud vases and gorgeous pleated glass votives. The ceremony site was extra special as we created urns with native plants that the couple took home to plant in their backyard!

Photos were captured by the incredibly talented Ellie from Iman Aly Photography, and she captured the artistic vibe of the day perfectly. All of the personal floral in autumnal colors popped off of the varied colors of the bridesmaid dresses. The boutonnieres were extra fun as we used some great textural foliage to make them more artistic.

Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art - Kansas City Wedding Venue

Kemper Museum is such a cool place to hold an event. The art installations are available for all of the guests to enjoy during cocktail hour, and the industrial concrete and glass structure is a perfect minimal backdrop that doesn’t require much embellishment. The cafe at the museum is lovely for a ceremony, and the staff there was so efficient and kind. I loved providing flowers for such a unique venue space.
