Hi, I'm Stefanie, owner and lead designer of a Kansas City-based boutique wedding flower studio called KC Bloom.

My husband and I have dedicated our family to Jesus Christ, and we love being a part of a vibrant local church. Parenting our two young kiddos keeps us very busy (and very tired), and now we've added wrangling a goldendoodle/velociraptor puppy named Biscuit to our daily tasks.

We're committed to making our family life simple and joyful. This blog will highlight a lot of floral work and business, with sprinklings of home projects and recipes - my other two passions!

Michigan wedding florist autumn wedding flowers bridal bouquet terracotta peach cream

Hi! I’m Stefanie, a Kansas and Michigan wedding florist, wife to a super cool guy, mom to two adorable kiddos, and Head Snuggler of a fluffy yellow pup. Obviously you’re here looking for real wedding inspiration, and I’ve got you covered.

Michigan Wedding – Private Estate – Ray, MI

Wedding flowers are definitely my thing, but wedding flowers for a lifelong family friend… SIGN ME UP.  When Noelle and Ian began planning their Michigan wedding during the pandemic, they struggled to find a venue. So, they called upon some dear friends to ask if they could host another wedding there. The property was perfect, with so much open space and even a pond! A huge benefit for a private wedding is so much time for vendors to pull everything together.

Noelle chose a modern autumn color palette of peach, terracotta, cream, and olive green. It was a big job with 28 tables, a massive floral arch, sweetheart table floor meadow, and lots of bouquets. We chose to split the round tables into 2 designs, one with an all-greenery arrangement on top of a tall glass vase, and the other with a lush floral centerpiece. All of the rectangular tables had greenery and candles down the center.

The massive marquee tent was host to nearly 250 guests, and the live band was absolutely incredible. Never have I experienced 150+ people singing “I Wanna Dance with Somebody” (c’mon Whitney!) at top volume – core memory unlocked. This was my first wedding as both a vendor and attendee, which I loved.

I highly recommend ending the night with fireworks, a gelato cart, and a late night pizza delivery.  The whole evening was perfection!

Vendors

All of the photography by the lovely Kassidy Hewitt Photography. I don’t have information on the other vendors, as the couple did all of their own planning.

If you’re looking for a Michigan wedding florist (or anywhere in Kansas, Missouri, or the rest of the Midwest), get in touch! I’d love to work with you to design a perfect day.
