Hi, I'm Stefanie, owner and lead designer of a Kansas City-based boutique wedding flower studio called KC Bloom.

My husband and I have dedicated our family to Jesus Christ, and we love being a part of a vibrant local church. Parenting our two young kiddos keeps us very busy (and very tired), and now we've added wrangling a goldendoodle/velociraptor puppy named Biscuit to our daily tasks.

We're committed to making our family life simple and joyful. This blog will highlight a lot of floral work and business, with sprinklings of home projects and recipes - my other two passions!

Hi! I’m Stefanie, a Missouri wedding florist (also serving Michigan and the midwest). I’m also wife to a super cool guy, mom to two adorable kiddos, and Head Snuggler of a fluffy yellow pup named Biscuit. Obviously you’re here looking for real wedding inspiration, and I’ve got you covered.

The Venues – Our Lady of Good Council & Historic Flander Hall

Elle and Jacob are devoted Catholics, so a traditional service was very important. They were married in the stunning Our Lady of Good Council in Kansas City, surrounded by their loving family and friends.  The wedding party began their day at the Elms Hotel in Excelsior Springs, where they took a shuttle to Kansas City for the service. Then the party came back to the Historic Flander Hall for an all-night, New Year’s Eve celebration!

The industrial chic venue, with exposed brick, high ceilings, and two open lofts is so unique. One of the upper levels is completely lined with large windows overlooking the quaint downtown below. It’s truly one of the most interesting venues I’ve seen!

New Year’s Eve Glamorous Winter Wedding Flowers

Elle’s mom planned the majority of this wedding as the bride and groom live out of town. She found the coolest, chunky black candles so we designed around those for the dark, moody vibe of their New Year’s Eve fete.

The sophisticated color palette of burgundy, mauve, cream, and red played so well off of the original dark wood floors and brick walls. Combined with gold & brass containers, the fabulous black candles, and loads of candlelight, the flowers were so luscious and luxurious.
